Hey. Listen. It’s 10:45, Monday night. That means that we’re roughly twenty-some hours away from the return of the Burning Swamp Reading Series. Yeah. The hair just stood up on the back of my neck too. All right, so let’s hear from our final reader Heather Nysewander and why she thinks the kraken is more than a match for the Loch Ness monster.

Do you believe in swamp primates?
I think anything is possible since we’re finding new species all the time. So sure, why not.

Would you support the recent proposal to domesticate swamp primates?
If they could be domesticated and trained to do things like carry the groceries into the house then I’m all for it.

Kraken vs Lock Ness Monster?
It’s difficult to say but if I had to go with one, I’d say the kraken would win. Octopi (I’ve been waiting to use that word legitimately for so long!) have that black ink thing and the tentacles, so I’d definitely put my money on the kraken.

Heather Nyswander is a senior Writing and Linguistics major with a History minor. She enjoys writing just about any genre of fiction but especially enjoys writing historical fiction. She will be graduating in May and is excited to move on to the next chapter of her life and whatever it entails.
